Irwin "Buck" Price served on LST 285 during WWII.  LST 285 was with the LST 325 sailing over and landing on Omaha Beach in June 1944.  It was brought to Brett Green's attention that Mr. Price did not receive any of the medals he was awarded while in the service.  Brett is a volunteer here and thought that having him aboard ship to receive his medals would be great.

Well, Brett did just that yesterday.  With the help of his daughter, the local news media, and Bob Pointer, Buck Price received the recognition he deserves.

It's not often that we get to return the favor to the men and women who sacrifice so much to keep us safe here at home and abroad.  Take time to thank the military men and women you see for their service.
