WE ARE OPEN FOR TOURS!  Come on down and take a tour of the USS LST 325 in the water-world know as Evansville.  We are at 44.26 ft., 2.26 ft. past flood stage.

Pete Smith is finishing his painting of the Galley cabinets.  Herb Quick scraped and sanded the area to prep for painting.

We are at 44.24 ft. as of this picture.  More flooding still expected and more rain.

Since we lost the anchor in Decatur, we are now trying to pull 100 ft. of cable to the barge to reinstall the anchor swedge.  They need to find good cable and cut off the rusted part.

John Engstrom and Herb Quick are working to pull the cable onto the barge via the barge hand winch.

They've connect the cable to chain and the chain to the cable in the hand winch.  Once they pull enough cable onto the barge, they can then use the crane to pull the rest on.

The state of the cable, possibly original cable, is quite bad.

It seems to be rusted through at the 30 ft. mark or so.

Chris Donahue is manning the Stern Anchor Winch to manually let out the cable as necessary.

The river is quickly approaching the pavilion on shore.
