The ship remains in dry dock and will be delayed at least until the end of this week to be moved out. We are not sure of the exact day yet. The weather is not cooperating and painting the hull is being delayed.
Two of the props are at the ship but awaiting the new bearings so they can be installed back on the ship. The other two props are still at the prop shop, Texas Wheel Works, being refurbished. Texas Wheel Works has been great to us. They have donated all the work they have done on our four props. We thank them very much. The prop guards have been removed from the stern and were in terrible condition. They may have to be rebuilt from scratch. The bow doors are still off. Work is still being done on the hinges and the fabrication of new bottoms for them.
We are told the moral is still good among our hard working Dry Dock Crew. No Mutiny has been attempted. No one has gone AWOL. The arrival of the rest of the sailing crew is being delayed by two days to assure the ship is out of dry dock and in the water. It will be Thursday the 21 now. Captain Hargrove is still working on securing the two additional pilots we will need for the return trip. Anyone qualified person interested or anyone who knows any qualified pilots contact the office.
