Our volunteers are working hard to prepare for winter.  They are working to completely paint the Tank Deck before our Annual Veteran's Day Breakfast November 11th from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or until the food runs out!

Herb Quick has been one of the main men in this process.  Before he could even paint, he had to clean and remove debris from under the above metal work guarding the cable underneath.  This was one dirty job.

He has been working steadily and has made a lot of progress.  He has already begun sealing this section.

Above you can see the scale of the section.

We have also been working on the Tank Deck Displays.  We've finished building a very long platform for all of the parts to be displayed on off of the deck.

You can also see we've added more parts and are better able to display the signs using backboards.  John Engstrom has been instrumental in this work.

As you can see, these parts have been painted and are really making a difference in the Tank Deck.

We will soon have two additional mannequins to display uniforms that have been donated.  So much progress made that we can't keep up with it all!  It's all thanks to many more than mentioned here and it will continue to take many volunteers to keep this museum ship going.  Thank you.
