As Old Man Winter bears down upon us, we are closed again today. We are not letting that stem the flow of work on board ship. We have several projects currently in the works to prepare for Spring Work Week and for our NEW GENERATOR!
This week guys will start arriving to begin work to prep the ship to remove the old generator to ready for the replacement. This involves experienced personnel cutting a hole in the Tank Deck to extract the mighty piece of equipment. We are greatly indebted to all those involved with this project and will keep you updated as it progresses.
Yesterday we received a new Mega-Wrap cover system from Custom Insulation Fabricators for our ORCA Waste System. This system has had some issues due to the below freezing temperatures on board the ship. This wrap should prevent future problems due to freezing.
This wrap is custom measured and fit to our system.

We are also beginning to paint the Ward Room's exposed metal bulkheads. The grey paint will match the rest of the spaces on ship. The updates are already making a big difference.
