Encouraging words with a wonderful reason to volunteer.

I toured the LST 325 while in Clarksville, TN on 29 September 2012

Before leaving the ship I stopped by the Membership / Volunteer table and joined the Chief Level on 29 September 2012.

I enjoyed meeting Bob Pointer and appreciated a tour of the Radio Room as a Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator  AA4SH and former MARS Members. I'm sorry I missed Perry but want to thank him and all the volunteers for the efforts to restore and share the LST.

Attached it my completed  Volunteer form ( Excel ).   I'd like to volunteer
as a Guide and in maintenance activities and any other way I can volunteer to help with the LST.  I do have my own business in Shelbyville TN about 3 hours from Evansville but I can find time to breakaway and volunteer.

My Dad was a Navy Corpsman during WWII and spent some time on LST's attending to the wounded.  It would be a great honor in his memory for me to serve to preserve this part of history by volunteering with LST memorial organization.
