Yesterday, Altek finished the installation of the Anchor Windless Motor.  To finish, they had to take apart the Capstan and rebuild with lots of extra grease. It looked like a scene from Poltergeist.

Tom Kick is busy needle gunning 40mm barrels on the main deck. It's a hot day for such tedious work.

Today is a busy day. We have the Shriner's Festival Air Show practicing overhead today. Pictures courtesy of Andrew Walden.

John Hatton receives his 2,000 volunteer hour jacket today.  Tom Price will be receiving his 2,000 hour jacket as well, but was not here for a picture. Thank you both for your time and dedication to this ship and her cause.

Today we have quite a bit happening already.  We have had 2 tours by 10:30 (CST), we have several Engineering volunteers here, and are having our awning measured to be added on to.

Above: Kelyn leads the 2nd tour of the day.

Below: Our current awning and it's short comings.

Below: Our faithful volunteers from the front left:  Hiram Brownell, John Engstrom, Andrew Walden (Intern), Brian Carrier, and Bill.

The audience is captivated by David's story.

Today marks the 68th Anniversary of D-Day, June 6th, 1944.  As we honor all those who served our country on this day 68 years ago, remember all those who supported the effort and continued to fight, work, and sacrifice for our country after the initial invasion. Thank you to all those who gave so that we could be here today.
